New Eviction Laws Update

The Minnesota legislature recently passed changes in the laws regarding the process that should be used by Minnesota landlords to legally evict tenants. This process was previously discussed in the article “2024 Eviction Law Updates” on April 9, 2024.

Additionally, there is certain wording that must be used in the eviction complaint before it is filed with the Court. If the wording is incorrect, it will be dismissed by the Judge. For these reasons, it is important that you consult the law firm of Farrish Johnson Law Office to assist you with the filing of an eviction complaint to make sure the wording and process is done correctly.

Finally, if you regularly communicate with the tenant via cell phone and/or email, then you must also let them know the hearing date for the eviction through the same electronic means, as well as other requirements.

If you need to evict a tenant, make sure to call the experienced attorneys at Farrish Johnson Law Office, Chtd, and they can advise you on how to move forward through the eviction process. You can contact us at 507-625-2525.
